Digital Shadows

Digital Shadows

Set to grow from 30 people to more than 150, the successful Fintech start-up Digital Shadows is leaving its Canary Wharf accelerator space for new offices.

The brief

For Digital Shadows' first office fit-out, it wanted a space that reflected the innovative culture and utilised the brand's trademark green and purple. The desire was for an unconventional, collaborative workspace that incorporated a large Town Hall meeting space and digital wall.

The solution

We reserved one wing for an open-plan workspace with natural light and views to the Thames. The framework incorporates whiteboards, greenery and dividers between teams.

A second wing includes a reception area, quiet working areas, meeting space for up to 120 people and a Town Hall forum. A vibrant breakout space and large outdoor terrace with a mini-golf course accommodate alfresco meetings and create buzz.

The details

We chose transparent and translucent finishes to play with light and shadow. Backlit metal-mesh ceiling tiles overlook the Town Hall area and patterned Perspex panels in green and purple distinguish the workspaces. The corporate colours appear elsewhere: on chair legs, upholstery and metal frames.
