Basha-Franklin was asked to present a scheme for a South African oil company relocating to new offices in Paddington, London.
We were asked to find inspiration in Sasol's Johannesburg campus and apply it to this Grade A British Land building with views over Regent’s Canal to Regent’s Park. Our design would incorporate an inviting Client Suite, quiet workspaces and cellular offices for the large workforce.
To make the most of the views, we opened the core of the building into a central hub with a reception area, breakout space and boardroom, all filled with natural light. The tea point and breakout space lead to an east-facing outdoor terrace, and a quirky ‘out room’ for meetings faces the canal.
